Glen Bressner co-founded and is Managing Partner of Activate Venture Funds which is the successor to a series of affiliated funds that were started in 1985. These funds have been focused on making very early-stage investments in entrepreneur-led ventures primarily within the Mid-Atlantic region. His current Activate Board seats includes Benefix, HighQA, Princeton Identity, Bonsai and scaleMatters. Glen’s prior successful investments include Tabula Rasa Healthcare (IPO), FSA Store (acquired by Beecken, Petty & O’Keefe), Access Health (IPO), CareGain (acquired by Fiserv), ClickPayRent (acquired by RealPage) , Rights Flow (acquired by Google) , IQE, plc (IPO), Visual Networks (IPO), Ravisent (IPO), Innovative Solutions & Support (IPO), Ultracision (acquired by Johnson & Johnson), AnyTime Access (acquired by Digital Insight), Natural Insight (acquired by Level Equity) and MicroE Systems (acquired by GSI Group).
Glen is also Chairman of the Board of Innovative Solutions and Support, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISSC), a leading supplier of avionics solutions and led its seed financing in 1988. Glen was also a partner in and a member of the Board of Directors of Alum-a-Lift, Inc., a family-owned manufacturing business, and for which he led its sale in 2024 to a wholly-owned subsidiary of InvestorAB, Sweeden’s largest publicly-traded company.
Glen has served on the Board of Directors of PACT (formerly the Greater Philadelphia Venture Group) and was its Chairman during 1996-1997. Glen is a past member of the Board of Governors for Philadelphia based St. Christopher’s Childrens Hospital. He co-founded and was the Chairman of Leader Lehigh Valley, a 501c3 organization that brought the Leader in Me to over forty elementary and middle schools in the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.
Glen holds a BSBA, cum laude, from Boston University, where he lettered in basketball and earned an MBA from Babson College.
