During his undergraduate program Pierce spent time with two middle-market Private Equity funds, one operating in the consumer space, the other healthcare focused, and this is where he first learned the fundamentals needed to build enduring enterprises. He was one of the first employees at a start-up called Greyson, where he built out Production & Supply chain teams and processes, and contributed to 40x revenue growth over a 3-year period.
Pierce has developed particular expertise around healthcare and worked with a Series Seed-B stage venture fund, as well as a public equities asset manager, before joining Activate in 2023. Pierce holds a BA in Psychology from Syracuse University and an MBA from Columbia Business School where he was a member of the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Management Program. He sits on the NYC Junior Council of Shatterproof, a non-profit organization focused on transforming addiction treatment in the US.
